Art Around The Block, a small, local outdoor “open studio” sales event, was created by three artist friends living in the same neighborhood in our tiny town of Nahant, Massachusetts. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown in March, all of our in-person sales opportunities for the rest of the 2020 year vanished. So we created our own, taking into consideration the need for social distancing. We planned four days, one each month, from September through December. We kept it small, simple, and local, largely depending upon social media for our publicity. It has been fun for us to work together and has been well received. We have been joined by a few other artist-neighbors and the event has grown a bit. We did the same in 2021 and will have a couple of dates in the fall of 2022. Watch this space for more details!
